hi was instaling a p11-nis it's an audio stock adapter that hooks the ipod to the factory bose, i have an 04 roadster.

i was installing it and broke the main 10pin harness top part the wires must have split apart and obviously did something when they touched. it is labeled the m40 harness in the service manual wiring diagrams.

with that said im getting no illumination from all 6 guages the gauges work but they do not light up and the side mirrors will not move using the controller on the left side. the very first dim setting on the headlights doesnt work either. and the gauge that displays the digital read out like mph, temp etc isnt coming on/iluminating amber. the seatbelt lights comes on the ac all works, etc. all other electronics work.

i've read something about a dimmer but am not sure. i dont want to go digging

can anyone help me figure this out, those are my only three symptoms and they're related to the 10 pin harness snafu.

how are these tied togheter and what could have caused this?
