Is it just me or do the shifts sound very loud in the Z. For example when I shift through the first 3 gears with my windows open and radio off I can hear "cuh clink"

Is this normal or should I bring it to the dealers attention next time I get my oil changed?

cuh clink it's fine. if it starts to go, "grrrchikclunkchkchkchkchkssssssssssssss", thats bad.

yah i just had mine replaced and it made that thunk into 3rd

 

 

i get a baddddddddd plop into 2nd

 

it's what the nissan marketing calls "bolt action"

 

same here. im going to get it looked at, among other issues with my tranny. im going to try and get it swapped.

 

i don't think there is anything wrong with the trans.

i just had mine replaced and it makes that noise however it shifts nicely and smooth with the new clutch and fresh tranny.

however it makes the "thunk" when i shift hard instead of slowly and no "thunk"
