Default ses codes p1212 and u1001 help

this morning i started my car up and just a few seconds later the brake and slip light came on along with the headlights, the headlights went off after a few seconds and came back on repeating this. i pulled the codes and the 2 codes that came up were p1212 and u1001 i looked them up and it says p1212 is abs/tcs communication and the u1001 is CAN comunication or something close to that.. anyone know what could cause this? my car has a vortech kit with the ss box and bolt ons.. please any help is appriciated...

after doing a little reading my understanding is that the u1001 is a result of the p1212 from what i can find the u1001 means there is a general error with a CAN communincation and the p1212 is the specific communication line that is not working properly.. anyone know why my abs/tcs communication line is not working? ideas to a cause? or correct me if my thinking is wrong..

Can you bypass the SS box?
Check the harness connections. See if anything is lose.

Why not do what dealer techs do and read the FSM diagnostic procedure for your codes and complete the series of step by step tests to narrow down the solution.

i might seem pretty dumb for asking this but ill ask anyway, is your battery good and is your charging system working. seen random codes and stuff come on just from a low battery or failing alternator/alternator diode(too many AC volts)
