Well some paint has chipped away in a few spots and i havent noticed it until now (psnger door) and while waxing the car this weekend i noticed it had a few spots that just rusted. Remedy any1? without having 2 sand the whole spot down and have it repainted preferably.

There's really no way around it, the rust needs to get removed. As you know, the rust will spread like cancer and cause further deterioration.

haven't tried it...but i've heard people use something called Rust Converter (search it on amazon). It converts rust to an oxide and it can then be painted.
just an option for you
if anyone's tried it...maybe they can chime in

Rust-oleum makes appliance touch-up paint in several colors. Followed by Nissan touch-up paint. Works well for me.

Are you talking like small chips? Or larger spots? I found a small rock chip near my wheel well that had formed some surface rust. What I did was remove the surface rust and then put a few coats of nissan's touchup paint over it.

Yikes rust! I'm glad I stay in the SoCal dry air. Even my little hatchi (24 years) has no rust.

If I were you take care of it ASAP. Rust spreads rapidly in humid climates.

Any more input on this one guys? I noticed two - three rust spots on the front end of the car (rock chips on the cheap/thin paint). I didn't notice them until yesterday and want to act on this quick. Any suggestions? The chips are just about the diameter of the eraser on a pencil.

I am thinking it needs to get sanded down and touched up? But have no idea what products I should use for this.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You could tape some sandpaper to the eraser tip of a pencil (so it's not too hard on the metal surface) and try to grind the rust down to the bare metal. Then follow up with touch up paint.
