Default Car wont start! Grinding noise????

Over the past few weeks my car has started to grind sometimes when i try to start it, the noise is the same as if you were to have your car running and turn the key to start it again. Sound like the starter motor hitting the flywheel teeth?

I have a JWT clutch and flywheel as well. the only way it will start is if i put it in gear and rock the car back and forward to turn the engine over and then it starts as normal?

Any one have this problem or no how much a starter motor bedix is??

Thanks guys.

I have the same problem. what helps is turning off ignition - all the way off, and starting it again.

i have replaced the starter, but the problem is still there. it is JWT flywheel.

It does not happen every time, so I am living with it.

Sounds like the starter and flywheel are not lined up. Or, they are TOO lined up and the starter is getting stuck on the flywheel.
