Default Can't turn off VDC sometimes?

I am a new owner of a 2k3 Track Z, and recently noticed that VDC wont turn off sometimes. Last night actually I kept pushing the button, but the "VDC off" light wouldn't come on. I hear what sounds like a mechanical clicking of some sort when I press the button, but nothing happens. Has anyone else experienced this, am I doing something wrong?

It's wierd because I was able to turn it off one time, but then other times, it wont let me.

You're pressing the wrong button. The mechanical clicking you hear is your gas tank opening up. ROFL.

I would get that looked at by a Nissan dealer or a shop you trust. Just to let you know, I drove a 2004 Track Z in Sebring, FL a while back and the VDC turns on automatically eventhough I switched off. Unlike traction control that stays off, the VDC seems to have a mind of its own. Perhaps the computer turns it on when it thinks the car's losing too much grip.

I think so too. Haha!

VDC is a computer setting... It doesn't cause any mechanical clicking.
When you open your gas tank cover, you hear a click.
