Default Timing Belt Replacement

I am wondering when (at what mileage) it is appropriate to replace my timing belt. I have a 2004 with about 61k miles, and I've learned not to accept everything the owner's manual says with regards to maintenance schedules....just wanted to hear some real world advice. I've searched the forum and gotten some results, but when it comes to this question, there seem to be a bunch of unanswered posts.

What should I be charged for the replacement with labor & parts?

Thanks!

Well you have a timing chain for starters. Which usually doesn't need changing until around 150k? (correct me if I"m wrong on this one guys).
