this morning, i was going at home and bang!, no power to start the car, maybe i forgot something, i really dont know but , i just boost the car and everything is fine, ran about 2 mins and the battery is now charged. I was having a check engine light for about 5 minutes, stop the car and turn it up back again and it disapear. But now the problem is when i lock the doors automaticly, my alarm is getting on, only stop if i start the car.

Any idea...??

 

Do you have any aftermarket electronic products installed, especially stuff tied into the BCM (body control module)?

 

Pioneer in-dash double din maybe. I guess i should put off the ground and then do it again??

 

I had a very similar problem a few weeks back but it was caused by something else, once I removed it the problem stopped and now that I've installed the replacement the problem has not returned.

If you jumped the car and ran it for 5 minutes, you battery is definitely not charged to full power. I would definitely have the battery and alternator checked. Don't know about Canada, but here in the states you can take it to Autozone and they can test the battery and alternator on the car.
