Default Just got my transmission replaced and...

What a difference it made. I had the gear grind upshifting from 1st to 2nd under hard acceleration. When I took my car to the dealership on July 3, I was lucky that I was able to replicate the problem with a Tech in the car with me.

I called the dealership about 4 days later and they advised that they were having problems getting a transmission from Nissan. They recommended that I call Cust Service to speed the response. That's exactly what happened. A week later the tranny arrived. I dropped my car off in the morning and it was ready by 5:00.

End result: More SLIP light flashing with less inducement by the driver. Shifting is less "clunky" and generally smoother and the shifter seems to engage much better now. Also, the car feels less sluggish under acceleration than before.

I am not sure which has me more pleased, my dealer's outstanding service or my new, super-slick tranny.

As a side note, I was also told NOT to use anything other than Nissan's tranny fluid (for Synchromesh) in this car. The mechanic has been with Nissan for 17 years and he was EMPHATIC about it. According to him, it will RUIN the tranny.

To answer a question in the other thread, I don't know if they bled the clutch lines.
