Motor is failing... piece of crap motor. I dont understand how a motor that is used less then the windshield wiper motor brake so fast. I checked Nissan for a motor replacment but they said the whole bottom frame of the chair has to be replaced costing around $500. try tapping the motor with the back end of the screw driver while pushing the switch, if it moves its the motor. gonna try to take it out when I have the time and see if it has brushes that just need to be cleaned out or something. or swap the passenger seats motor .

Thumbs up

I had the same issue with my "ex-car" ('O1 Maxima); when I sold it to get the
"Zee", I advised my neighbor that it had that defect, & gave him a discount for it. Nissan suffers from minor nuisances which won't leave you stranded, so I'll stick with it. So far, I've owned 6 Nissans, & haven't had serious or expensive issues/repairs.

Try electrical contact (spray) cleaner in the toggle switch. Dirt gets in there.

my driver seat started to do this about 2 months ago...It moves in all directions except for reclining backwards. It sometimes works but only for a little while. I thought it might be lose or faulty wiring so I looked it very briefly and didn't find anything wrong (but I only spent about 5 minutes). I also dusted the switch housing and that didn't work either. I've been lagging on getting it checked out but when you find out what it is let us know.
