Default Voltage Issue???

My car seems to hover right around the 14 mark on the gauge but will slip under it once it has gotten warm. It does this with tthe lights on or not.

Last year I had an issue where a few of the radiator fan wires were cut after having the A/C fixed. They managed to rub through on the power steering pump pulley. The wires were soldered back together and covered once the issue was discovered. I also replaced the battery due to the low voltage issue. As well as it failing when it was tested with a battery tester.

I have in order to rectify the problem had the alternator checked and it is putting out good amperage under load. I have also tried to examine the fuseable links and they seem to be intact. The car starts and runs great but once it has been driven awhile it starts to have a voltage issue. I have checked the battery and it is around 12.38volts when the car is not running.

Any idea what the alternator should be putting out under load?

Any help would be appreciated.

THANX

Did you do a full test? because it's not just the voltage that matters. your CCA's (cold cranking amps) play a big roll... and a good Z battery should be reading above 490.. I believe
