Default Factory Exhaust Question!!

I'm installing my factory exhaust back, I didn't took it off my car so I have one question. Right at the connection of the muffler with the single pipe, is there any gasket needed. It seem like there wasn't one before also it look like the one pipes goes inside the other one and when you tighten the nuts it seals the connection.

I hope I'm right.

Any help appreciated

i would have to look at it to give you a definite answer, but if it as you describe, one part fitting into the other, than no, you wont need a gasket. just make sure you tighten the bolts well so you do not get an exhaust leak.

there is a gasket that goes there trust me its in the manual and i have replaced my exhaust at all the connections and there are gaskets on all of them. if you don't have a gasket set you can use a little RTV (the red kind......high heat) i wouldn't do it though only for a quick fix. get the gaskets!
