Default Where to get auto trans flush

Can i get it anywhere or do i have to go to a nissan dealer and pay 244 for it to be done always thought they had the same trans fluid

IIRC that the auto trans requires a specific fluid which may not be available to the average mechanic. search this forum for which fluid is required for the AT and in what volume, of course. then call the parts department and price out the fluid required. call some private shops and request a quote for a trans flush on your car. i would recommend that, regardless of the route you choose, to make sure whoever does it knows that using the specific fluid is imperative, or trans failure may result.

trust me.. 244 is cheap for what you are getting. The ATF machine takes around 15 quarts to work properly so you would have to buy at least 15 quarts of NISSAN ATF and bring it to anther place so it might cost even more. This is one of the few things that i would stick with a Nissan dealership.

Yeah, the fluid is around $12-$15 a quart. Multiply that how many you need and it's actually not that bad. Just take it to them and let them do it.

you might want to listen to these guys... i don't have an AT so i have absolutely no idea. just advice.
