Default Just bought a Z and have a few issues

I just bought a 2003 6MT 350Z with 35,000 miles. There are a few issues I have noticed since driving it:

1. Brakes make an creeking noise when coming to a slow stop and they squeek.

2. Popping noise when moving slowly and going over bump or turning wheel. Usually happens when I reverse and go to turn the wheel.

3. When I first start moving and let go of the clutch I hearing a clanking noise then it goes away after I start a constant roll.

4. When sitting at a stop and I hear a squeeky whoosing sound until I put the vehicle in gear with the clutch depressed.

Can anyone please give me a potential diagnosis or let me know if they are maybe they are common problems or just a characteristic of the car? I'm coming from a Lexus IS250 so I may be just being picky.

Thanks for any help you can provide and looking forward to being a member.

I have an 03 touring 6 spd (38,000miles). here's my opinion

1. brakes are just old, you might need new pads. mine squeak some of the time, its just normal wear and tear.

2. this seems like the normal sound of the clutch being engaged. i get a crunching noise sometimes when i go over speed bumps.

3. never had this problem

4. never had this problem

seems like you just have minor issues with wear and tear. hope you bought a warranty, if so, take it to the dealer and get it checked out. also, when i bought mine (last october with 29,000miles), i had to get the clutch and transmission replaced about a month later (done under warrarnty). make sure you check that out as well, and if you notice any problems, especially grinding gears, get it looked at and hope they cover it.

Kinda too bad you didn't notice this stuff BEFORE you bought it, I think.

Thanks guys. I took it to the mechanic and he is checking the transmission and throw out bearing. He thinks the throw out bearing will need to be replaced and it should stop.

As for the popping noise when I turn, it sounds like its coming from the front. Unfortuantly it didn't do it this morning for the mechanic.

As for the brakes, he is going to check them but it wasn't doing it this morning either.

Any more suggestions guys?

if you read your manual, a slight clanking noise is normal operation. it is hard to give you a diagnosis because it is hard to imagine what popping/squeaky wooshing might sound like...

I get that popping noise too. I've read about it in the other thread and it's jus your axles? or something related to that needs to be lubed up.
