After taking out a leaky oil cooler/sandwhich plate, changing a stripped oil drain plug and changing the oil/filter...which cured an oil leak i was having, i noticed the check oil light on the dash and a dead oil pressure gauge...i checked the oil using the dipstick and its fine, the other 2 gauges seem to work fine also...i'd rather not drive it anywhere until i can figure out whats wrong, whats my next step in trying to diagnose the problem?

 

Thanks i ordered a new one from courtesy parts...i been reading many threads on here and it seems that replacing this part has remedied situations where the gauge was pegged at 120 psi. It kinda worries me that mine is at zero, i didnt come across any other threads where the issue was the exact same but like i said this was after an oil change, so im hoping it is the sensor or maybe the wires on it? Guess I'll wait till i get the part..

 

I have the same problem....but the needle does move when the sterring wheel is turned sharply....and I have a haltech on the car.

did you ever fix the problem?
