Default New Battery, but now car dies...

About a week ago I noticed my '03 starting a bit slow, so I went out and purchased a new battery. Well as soon as I started it - it was fine and started much quicker. Around the 3rd start (next day) it started just fine, but then died right after. After my melt down, I started it again and it was fine/quick. Basically about every 3rd or 4th start the car will rev right up, but then just about die. Someone said it could be the car is "learning" how to adapt to the new battery...?? This has NEVER happened before; can anyone offer suggestions? Thanks!

Did you check to see if the terminals are on securely? Ive heard a number of times that they work loose somehow( a lot of times with the neg term) Even I had that problem. In my case the neg connector was bent in a way (from factory or numbnutz service guy) that the hole was too big for the batt post. And hence would work loose.

Or your alt or plugs need replacing etc.. LOL car doesnt need to learn new batt

I'll check when I'm released from work LOL. Could the issue be a loose cable if it starts and revs up, but then the rpms drop down to almost stall?

when installing a new battery you should always expose a fresh surface on the battery and terminals. get a battery cleaning brush which is available at most auto parts suppliers and do this. see if the problem persists.
