Hey guys,
I just recently purchased a 2004 350z roadster and love everything about it. But, I have a issue with my left side speakers. They keep turning on and off. It seems like a loose connection somewhere, but I have no idea where to even start. I am guessing that since it affects all of my left side, and not just a single speaker, I should start with checking the main connection to the whole left side, which I am guessing is at the amp? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and it feels great to be here.

Would love to put a new system in it, but I rather save the money on performance parts.
Does anyone know what I can test out or try to correct this problem? THANK!

Take your fist and bump the left side of the center console where the stereo is. Speaker should come right back on. Repeat as needed.
Im totally serious about this.

Wanna buy my Nismo CAI? Ive got an '04 ZR as well so it will fit no problem and since you are local in SoCal you could just pick it up and save shipping.
I also have a UR underdrive pulley if you are interested.
By the way, the Bose will probably have to be replaced eventually when you get sick of pounding on it.

I will try the abusive method if all else fails.
There has to be a better way to resolve this issue...
Can anyone tell me where the most likely source of the problem is?

Thanks for the reply.
Is the problem inside the headunit, or the wire connections from the headunit? Has anyone fixed this problem? Is it just better to invest in a new headunit?

I had the same problem. Turned out, i had the dealership work on my window (see previous post on this forum about windows) and when they repaired it my speaker wires were pinched in the door. I recommend taking off the panel and seeing if it is pinched. If one speaker is grounded it could ground the entire system. Good luck.
