I read the words "random" or "randomness" in these threads a lot, so here we go: I've known car owners---especially females---who hardly ever take their rides for periodic maintenance, and their cars turn out to be of above-average reliability. On the other hand, I've known guys who practically live inside the engine bay of their car and/or under it, and their vehicles are lemmons...Bottomline: It's a game of "lotto" of sorts, vehicle-wise. Do give your car "normal" maintenance---whatever that means!
