Unhappy Car shuts off after changing the battery!

First off ill start with what i have, '04 w/ K&N cold air intake and test pipes and my car has always run fine, but i had to change the battery and when i put the new one the car started fine, but when the car is warm and i turn it on it turns right back off, the only way to keep it on is if i rev it. I don't even have to rev it much just put my foot on the pedal and it stays on. I already reseted the ecu but it keeps happening. Does anyone have any idea of what i should do???

If you reset the ECU, the next step would be, either the stealership (not good, not good!), or a good auto electric[al] shop. Good luck!

Default Reset

If it is only stalling when you take your foot off the accelerator, you need to have the idle re-learned,,its fairly simple,it take us at the dealer around 20 mins..if you were close i would say to bring it by and it just get it handled for you,but if you take it to a dealer ,be prepaired to spend an hours labor..
good luck,,

it's not that i have to keep my foot on just that when i turn it on i rev it to like 3000 rpms once and it stays on with my feet off.

I had the same problem I think: I installed high flow cats and a Y-pipe and I unplugged the battery to reset the ECU. Afterwards, the car would stall during a warm start unless i held the accelerator for a moment.

However it only did that for about a day, it seems to have fixed itself for me.

There's an idle reset procedure somewhere on this site.. or try '350ztech'

sometimes the TB will recalibrate itself, but the majority of the time it wont. Lots of TBs have been replaced under warranty due to them not wanting to recalibrate themselves. If you run through the TB reset procedure fully it will correct your problem. Let us know how things turn out.

if your battery is taken out of the car sometimes it loses its KAM, just drive the car until it goes back to normal, let it relearn.

I am having a similar issue, mine will shut off after about 30 minutes. If it’s a cold start, it’ll start right up. But I can’t really drive it because it will just shut off after about 30 minutes.
