Default sluggish starts

my car has been turning over really slowly lately when i start it and sometimes it sounds like it will almost not even turn over at all, but then it does. anyone have any sort of trouble like this? i am thinking it might be that my battery is on the way out, but no dash lights are coming on so i dont know.

My batt sorta did the same before it went. No warning at all (dash warnings, Volt guage). Luckily I check my batteries every so often.. Get a good battery tester/ gauge etc..

Advance Auto or Auto Zone will test your battery for free. They in turn would like to sell you a battery, but they will change it for free in most cars.

Or you can do this yourself, you have a volt meeter in one of the pods. Usually a good battery (when the car is running) goes above 14 volts. If it is below 14 volts it probably means you need a new battery. You can also turn the key to the on position. If the needle points a little below 12 (even slightly off) it means you need a new battery.

Yeah if you ever sit in your car with your stereo on but the engine off it will crap the battery out over time. Most batteries cant take more than a few drains or near drains before they hit the crapper. Can always get a deep cycle battery like those yellow tops, they take the abuse much better than normal batteries.

First time I used my voltmeter in my car since I got it... been hovering just above 12V with the engine off and its been strugglying to start so I replaced it, and good as new. Horrah!

Thing is... The OEM car Voltmeter isn't that accurate... Hence why its better to use an aftermarket one same goes for TPMS.
