This all happened when I was pulled over on the side of the road because I missed and exit. when I went to take off again my VDC was off and I was on those bumps on the side of the road (the ones so you dont drift off to sleep) I did a rather harsh takeoff because there was alot of traffic. after that I noticed my tach fluttering at low rpm's and the car lagging with it not accelerating properly. I inspected the car thinking it might be the exhaust but couldnt find anything. the problem seems to come and go. I hit some more bumps after that and it started doing it again. I'm thinking its the transmission or driveshaft? really dont know. I'll put it on a lift soon. It just happened tonight.

still happening now. I looked for leaks under the car and didnt see anything.
its mostly at low rpms mostly in 2nd gear 1,000-4500 rpms

 

Try resetting the ecu by unplugging the negative battery terminal for 20 minutes.

Also, to be safe, you can clean your MAF with electronics cleaner.

 

+1 on MAF. And, possibly resetting your Idle Air.

ok so I reset the ecu and cleaned the maf.I have a new symtom today the car makes loud knocking noises over bumps or turns -happens alot almost as if something is popping...acceleration problem is still happening..
I schedualed apt at the dealer for next thurs

 

oh the popping/knocking is coming from right under my feet d/s from the front end of the car I can feel it in the pedal too

 

Sway bar? Strut? Keep us posted...

 

how do you reset your idle air

 

ok so I got a service engine soon light so- I checked the codes and got P0230 or catalist efficency below threshhold bank 2...could this be the problem with my accleration? I cleared the code so I'm going to drive it tommorow and see if it will come back on in a drive cycle.

so nissan wont work on my car because I have too many after market parts! wtf! I have to take it somewhere else! their blaming my aftermarket sway bars for noise when thats clearly not it. ***** idiots!
