Default people who have had transmission problems....let me ask you

how did they start? I bought my new z a month ago, 6speed manual. The car always shifted fine, very slick, no noises, clunks, hesitation, etc. Now i just hit 1100 miles and it feels a little notchy sometimes when i go into 2nd or 3rd. Still shifts fine but it doesnt just glide into 2nd or 3rd like it did new it seems. Maybe im just more aware of it after reading some of the forums here about people having tranny problems.......but i was just wondering if this is how it starts.

The notchiness doesn't necessarily mean your transmission will have issues. The better question would be if the people that have had no problems feel the notchiness shifting to 2nd and 3rd as well.

On this, my third, transmission, after about 1000 miles the notchiness became more noticeable. All my transmissions have felt about the same. The only thing that is different about this one is that it has started to make a clicking sound when I shift gears. The sound actually seems to be coming from the ****, but it just started a while back. There is also a strange rattle at 4800-5000rpm. I wonder if this is the rattle that droideka brought up long ago.
