Don't think anybody has that much mileage yet. I put close to 100,000 miles on my '90 Z32 and the clutch was still good when I sold it. Longevity depends on how you drive.

That would be one bad clutch if they started failing at 8-10,000 miles or so, which is about the average mileage of everyone here since the car has been out for only a year.

AVG clutch lifespan is about 75,000 miles. Although, i sold my old car @90,000 miles on original clutch. A friend of mine drove his toyota cluth until 130,000 miles. pretty impressive.

Well, I have 371,000 miles on my 87 & still haven't replaced the clutch! The throw bushing started slipping around 275k but the mechanic said we should wait for the clutch to go & do it all at once. Now, almost 100k later the clutch is still hanging in. No slipage at all. Feeling a little mooshy though & I can't drive it quite as hard as I use to because of the slipage on the bushing. I'm hoping to make it to 400k so that I can send the info off to Nissan. Maybe I'll win a prize! Like a new roadster

27K and my clutch is ready to be replaced.......this is with a ton of city driving, highway driving, and hot-lapping it at the drag race track.....the drag racing is what killed it the quickest, obviously

Wow and I thought 257000KM (160000Miles) was alot which is what my 84 300ZX has right now on the original clutch...she chatters a bit on hilly starts but never slips when fully engaged...the release bearing groans for a few shifts when cold...other than that I can still spin the tires the odd time...amazing it's still hanging in there!!!

Your 84 is still a baby. Hardly broken in at all! The Z31 is a great car!

various clutch parts: ~$400.00
dual mass flywheel: $1100.00
labor: ~$250

Now you can see why i told them to stay with the original flywheel even though it had "hot spots".......after i blow out this new clutch i'll go aftermarket clutch and flywheel......i skipped out on the labor cost becuase i was getting a warranty tranny replacement.
