I have a 05 6MT with 34K miles on it. I was driving Sunday night and doing about 40mph in 4th gear and all of a sudden I heard a pop and my engine rev and noticed that 4th gear popped out and into Neutral. Kind of marked it down as not shifting right.

Today I was driving to class doing 40mph again and once again heard the transmission pop and into neutral again.

I searched around and found this https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...-replaced.htmlthread and read that this is a sign that the transmission is going out. Is there anything I should check before bringing it the Nissan dealer? And I bought this car in May, is the Nissan factory 6 year 60K mile warranty transfer?
