Unhappy Fuel Light Stuck On. Need Help!!!

I have a 2004 350Z Roadster, i bought it about 6 months ago. I was cruising with a little less than 1/4 tank of gas. On my way to the gas station my fuel light came on. After i filled up the fuel light continued to stay on, and is still on. This was approximately 2 weeks ago. The car feels a bit more sluggish than it was before the incident. I dont know anything about the fuel system/fuel delivery system. Im hesitant to take it into the dealer (i have a warranty) because they always BS about what the real problem ACTUALLY is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

have you run that tank of gas out and filled up again since the first fill-up?

If it was a plane I would say you have water in the tank (a bad sending unit wouldn't cause sluggishness but water could cause both)

yes ive run about two full tanks through, one with no ethanol and one with 10%. it might not be sluggish, i might just be paranoid. but it feels like less gas pedal, like it takes longer to get up to speed

I herd of somthing similure to this a couple years ago with a bad batch of gas at a "shell" station I think. I would try running the car down as far as you can then fill up with some chevron high grade with techron and add some injector cleaner. Your sencor is buggin and hopfully you can clean/burn off the problem or I would take it the the dealer while you have a warrenty.

Ran the gas out, filled up with no ethanol and a thing of injector cleaner still no good. My idle goes from about a thousand rpms and randomly drops to about 500rpms. Even tried to run a couple gallons of 101 octane. Dont think its the injectors. I was going to replace the fuel filter but was told that its in the gas tank (dont know if thats true or not). I have no clue whats wrong. PLEASE HELP!!!

Did you try resetting the ecu? Leaving it disconnected for 24 hours could make the light go away
