Default VDC and Slip Light problem

I went to get an oil change last night and when I left the "service engine soon" light came on. I thought nothing of it and figured it was just because I got the oil changed and I would just have my friend clear the code when he gets back later the next day when he gets home.

I drove around for a little bit and then later last night when I was about a half mile from my house my VDC and Slip lights came on and my car stopped wanting to accelerate. I tried to hit the VDC button and it would not turn off, nor would my car rev up if it was in neutral. I managed to slowly get home at like 20mph and tried to turn the car off and reset it. When i turned it back on the lights came immediately back on and the car still would not rev up. You could floor it and it will very very slowly go up to about 2k rpm and that is about it.

I turned off the car and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, came back outside and started it again and it was fine. I brushed it off and tried to think nothing of it and hoped it would work on the way to work in the morning.

So I am driving to work this morning, which is about a 40min drive and it is fine until I get about a mile away and it happens again. I had to drive the rest of the way at 30mph and without stopping since I could not accelerate. I am really lost as to what is going on and would appreciate some help so that I can get home this evening after work, thanks!

It's going in "limp mode". Can be caused by a number of things, you will need to get the
SES codes scanned to find out why.

I can get it checked out tonight, I just kinda wanted to make sure I got home tonight from work. I tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, but once i started the car the service engine soon light came back on. I guess I will just have to leave work early so there is no traffic and if it acts up just disconnect the battery to make the vdc and slip lights go off.

I just started having this issue that everyone else is kinda having with limp mode.

Start the car Service Engine Light pops on as well as VDC ans SLIP.

Things Ive tried:

1.) Cleaning JWT Intake and MAS
2.) Replacing MAS (returned it when I still had issue)

It did it this morning at 6am.. ugh.. I took the intake off and manually moved the throttle body butterfly open and close a couple of times. Car fired right up.

So its either a.) throttle body is bad or b.) I need to not just wipe the gunk from the front of it but get a throttle body cleaning spray and really go at it..

My car is an 03 Touring with 60k miles. Im gonna get the cleaner tonite and see if I can go 48h hours without it happening.

I took it to get the codes read and I had a MAF and 2 TPS codes. I am assuming that the maf would cause the TPS problems?

it was my friends brother who changed the oil, and all they did was drain it and then put the new oil in. I was standing there the whole time they did it and I didn't see them touch anything else. I just thought it was weird that the light came on as soon as it had the oil changed.

I checked the codes again today and now I have an ECU code too. The maf code isnt showing up anymore its just the 2 tps codes and the ecu. The code numbers are: P0222 Throttle Position Sensor, P2135 Throttle Position Sensor, and P0605 ECM/ECU / machine said "P0605 Internal Control Module Read Only Memory (ROM) Error". We tried to clear the codes again and now they wont even erase and the car seems to be in permanent limp mode. Also, not that its really a big deal but when i turn my car on now my dvd for the navigation is going crazy trying to read **** when the nav isnt even on.

just letting everyone know for future reference that it was fixed. There was a problem with one of the wires going to the throttle body.
