I bought a used exhaust of a member here and just received it this morning. Its has discoloring throughout the whole exhaust. Sooo, i went and washed the piping with regular soap and water and mitt. Then got myself Mothers Aluminum + stainless steel polish and terry cloth and microfiber polish cloth. I put on a couple of coats and followed directions. In the end, my pipe looks like a shiney, discolored, black spotted exhaust.

Now my question for you detailing gurus is, what else should i do?!

I used comet, a brillo pad and some water of course to get all the black crap off of mine and then used the metal polish.
