Coolant Leak
Well my car overheats about every 2 months, and when it does its VERY low on coolant. I try to remember to add coolant/water every few weeks but I'm forgetful.
The car broke down on me on the way home. Overheated so bad that the car started bucking and it threw an error code (I'm an idiot).
So I add over a gallon of water to the radiator and it runs fine after that.
The problem started after I did my header install.
Also, after that my heater doesn't work. I know the problem with the heater is air in the lines, but I can't figure out where it could be leaking. We had to cut a hose when installing my headers, but replaced it.
I think my first plan of action is to buy some aftermarket hoses.
What do you guys recommend?

did a bit of searching and found that air in the coolant lines is common and that the reserve tank should be filled.
Gonna try bleeding tonight.
Will be back tomorrow with results.

+1 on bleeding it. I never had to bleed mine when I did my coolant flush and hose swap, but the bleeding is one of the requirements...

so i tried pulling the bleeder plug and it was totally dry
not only was it dry but with the car running it never got wet.
Either I have one HELL of an air pocket or something obstructing one of my coolant lines.
I went run it for a few minutes and I'm letting it cool now.
I'll try it again after supper

you may want to take it to a shop and see if they can vaccume it down and refill it. If your losing coolant and you see no external leaks you may want to double check for blown head gaskets.

Found the leak, it was right next to the bleeder valve.
The clamp had become messed up and wasn't holding it tight.
It would only leak with the heater on and evaporate off of my headers, thats why it was so hard to find.
Filled up good and bled it, eveything well so far.
