Buy new nissan window motor or get a rebuilt motor?
My drivers side window no longer works, so I'm stuck between getting the cheap rebuilt motor from pepboys/autozone or getting the Nissan motor from a dealership.
I'm worried that if I get the rebuilt motor, it will just break again in a few months and I'll be stuck dishing out $$$$ again. My friend says if I buy a Nissan motor from the dealership that performs the labor, and it breaks, I can just go back and they will fix it for pretty much nothing. I'll save about $200 if I buy the motor myself.
What do you guys think I should do?

rebuilt ones carry a lifetime warranty. and they are a rebuilt unit from an OE core.
if you know how to take apart the door in 5 minutes, it's all good. my first rebuilt one from autozone (cardone brand) failed in 2 weeks. got another one under warranty (buy another one and get credited when you return the original) and it failed after 2 months. at this point, i took apart the motor myself and cleaned it up and now it's been working good.
expensive new nissan unit or cheaper rebuilt unit.....either way, you lose.
