I think I figured out what is going on when I am pushing the car and I have these hic-ups in power. I think my clutch is slipping. But I have no idea if that is right!

Yep. Sounds like a symptom to me. The sure sign is, you should smell clutch burn. Your rev's will flux, you'd probably feel a little jerky taking off from a dead stop & should notice the rev flux on your tach.

 

In second gear, punch the gas and look at the tach. If at first, the revs jump before you begin to accellerate, then your clutch is toast. Another thing to do is to stop the car on a side street, and let out the clutch fast. If the car flys forward hard and then stalls, then your clutch is grabbing OK and you should not have to replace anytime soon.
