Default Lost my High Beams last night!

Ok, here we go.....I'm driving home last night with my high beams on. I'm in third gear at about 3,500rpm and just for fun I tap the gas a little. When I did my headlights flickered. I was like what the hell. I did it two more times and it done the same thing expect the third time my high beams shut off. My low beams still work fine. When I got home I turned the car off and when I turned it back on I had nothing, no electrical power, nothing. Popped the hood and found out that the positive cable for the battery was loose, so I tighted it up and everything was fine, except for my high beams, they still don't work for some reason. I checked both fuses and they are fine. I haven't taken the bulbs out yet, but I couldn't imagine it blowing them out like that at the same time. I have an 03 with the HID's. Can somebody help me with this!!!

If your battery cable was loose and causing an arc, I could easily see it nuking the hi-beam bulbs. Since they are just standard bulbs, I'd be willing to bet that's what happened. Especially with you revving it. The voltage kicks up at that point and probably caused toastage. Either that or your entire wiring harness is fried and you'll have to spend $5K to have it replaced! Thats what I was thinking, but it just seemed odd to me. I don't think it fried any harnesses cuz I have the rest of my lights, but if I did...anyone wanna buy a Z?
