Here's the deal - if the fuse is blowing - there is a short somewhere. Find it and the fuse will survive.

OEM or Aftermarket radio/HU?

Bose or non-bose?

Did you do any mods recently, especially in the area of the console?

Replace speakers?

Do any drilling or played with anything sharp that might have pierced a wire bundle or damaged a harness connector?

completely stock. it went out one time and i banged towards the radio and it came back on but a day later went out completely. its non bose and i did no work like drilling or none of that. i havent touched anything besides changing my belts recently which i doubt has nothing to do with it.

That's sounds like there was something loose inside the HU and now it's shorting out something inside there. You still under warranty?

Yea, it sounds like you need to pull the center console and take a peak. (or have the dealer do it if you have some warranty left) Disconnect the HU and see if the fuse holds.

my aftermarket unit does the same exact thing. From time to time it will just completely go out but if i bang on the consol near the HU it will come back on. Come spring time I'll check it out, I need to fetch an earring this chick lost down the center consol anyways.
