I need new hatch struts. I had these super strong ones, but they kept popping off and falling onto the ground because they were TOO strong. One time when it popped off violently it broke the springy hatch stopper thingys too which really pissed me off.

I bought some replacement struts that just happened to fit from our local auto parts store but they failed after some time too. So now I am rolling around with one hatch springy thing and the trunk is rattling, and two hatch struts that don't open up the trunk.

My wife and I golf a lot and we take the Z to golf wherever we go (never late for a T time haha) so where can I buy two of those springy things (what are they called anyway?) and some oem hatch struts? I just have the oem track spoiler that thats it, so the oem struts and hatch springy things are perfect. Any vendors sell them or anywhere I can buy them?

I don't know which ones my car uses tho they descriptions for 2003 are not clear, inside the door is says 01/03 so thats an early 03 by the looks of it...

I read in the other thread about putting pennies in the Spring lifts where somebody said there is a 5lbs counter weight inside the hatch? Maybe if I remove that weight my current struts will hold it up? They are SOOO close to holding it up, just the slightest pressure from my pinky is enough to keep it up.
