Default She hasn't been putting out...

So my Z, being the wonderful car that she is, has not been starting sometimes, let me get some details out before we figure this out together. Circle up.

Anyway,
Its only in cold weather, has happened after I have gotten gas, but intertimmently, today I got gas, and it started right up, but then I went into school for a 3 hours, came back outside tried to start her, and I sounded like the douche with a non working car, I have my mod's listed below my plenum spacer does not have the throttle body bypass installed.

So what happens, I turn the key in the igntion and the car tries and tries to turn over, but then realizes its an utter failure and doesn't. Battery has good voltage, starter sounds like a champ, it just doesn't turn over. So whats the theory here? I'm all ears.

Oh 2 weeks ago I installed new front speakers, I don't think they could cause enough draw on the system to be a problem, but hell I'll list it all for you.

How many miles on your car and how old is your battery? It may read strong enough voltage, but still be weak.
Mine failed a battery test at the dealer a few weeks ago and I've only got 39K miles on mine. At first I didn't believe them, but it's been cranking a little puny, so I think they were right.

Sounds like the Battery...... Optima redtop R34 and your problems will most likely dissapear!!

Yes, it could read good voltage, and you could charge it for days..... Yet its still battery failure......

JayZ is right it sounds like the battery. The voltage may be there but it could still be bad.

I'll tune in too, voltage can be good but its the state of health that the battery is in. I had mine die at a 7/11 when I was on the way to work, had to get a friend from work bring a jump box. My battery was alittle over 4 years old.

i have a similar problem. allow me to explain because mine is slightly different.

my car starts everytime, first crank if i hook it up to another car and jump it.
i took the battery out and had it charged and tested at autozone and they said it was reading right voltage after they fully charged it. i took it home immediately and put it back in the car and when i turned the key i get full power on everything but not even a clicking sound. to compare it does the same thing it would do if you tried to start it without pushing in the clutch. absolute nothing. but if i jump it from another car it cranks 1st try...then i can run it for a bit, turn it off and back on about 2-3 more times and then after that it goes right back to no clicks or anything. i have no idea what it is. i was thinking it was the battery. but now i'm not really sure?

To the battery issues yes your voltage can be good while your cca's (cold cranking amps) are bad, still giving you a bad battery

look at your red alarm dot on your dash... Maybe your alarm is going bad or you keys imobolizer isn't working correctly anymore and not sending it's signal properly

Also check your clutch engagment pressure sensor...
