So i have a Z with almost 15k on it and i have an hks exhaust. from the time i got it it always had this deep throaty gargle when you down shift or let of the gas however just recently not so much i was wondering if anyone experianced such a problem. is it in need of a toon up. Did i f***it up, tranny clutch? i dunno please most

LOL, I think you just got used to the noise so it doesn't seem to sound as cool anymore. A tune-up won't help how the car sounds, unless your car is misfiring and pops like crazy. Your tranny/clutch will also not effect the exhaust note. Seriously, you just got used to the sound.

 

my exhaust sounds throaty-er in the winter.I think its because the intake noise is louder,but when its warm its a deffinate difference.

 

Sound travels at different speeds and carries varying distances based on the density/humidity of the air it's travelling through.
