So I just bought my 08 350z and I'm not sure if some of the noises I am hearing are normal.

1. When I drive at a low RPM I hear a whining noise coming from under the hood. Sounds like the intakes?

2. I heard a clicking sound coming from the passenger side and could not pinpoint where it was coming from. I know its the car though because I dont have anything in the car.

3. When I brake kinda hard I sometimes hear a water swishing sound. At first I thought since it has been raining hard the past few days some water leaked into where the spare is stored. But there was none.

Is this normal? or is it because I am still breaking in the car that I am hearing these noises?

 

You're listening too carefully IMO. Turn up the stereo.

 

3 is just your gas
2 might be your rear axle not sure
1 depending on how loud the whine is could be something else but is most likely your intake.

 

The gas tanks makes sense. but is that normal?
and the clicking sound is coming towards the front. so could it be the rear axle?
and is the whining bad for my car?

mmmm dats odd....i dont know ...i never really heard any weird noises like that when i first drove it...may i suggest, drive it back to the dealership if thats were you got it and get your money back no im playing...what car did you have before?....cuz u know Zs are loud as fawk in so many wayz...

 

mine is when i drive i hear it, i know for sure its not my intakes, i only have 958 miles on it, so monday im taking it in to get it checked out.

 

I am also hearing a loud water swiching noise. My gas tank is usually near full so I don't understand how the gas be moving around enough to make such a noise.
