Anyone ever fix their BCM???
I'm having a problem with my Driver's side door. My window is stuck down, my door lock doesn't work, and when I do press the locks, my rear wiper goes off. LOL. It seems that all of those things are controlled by the Body Control Module next to the fuse box in the footwell. When I press the window button I hear a clicking sound from the BCM. Now, I know if I replace it, I have to have the key reset in order to turn on the car. I hope changing it out fixes the problem.
It's basically a computer in a box. There's not much you could fix on it, replacement IS your only hope. Unless you have a short somewhere else that is causing it to freak out....
It sounds like you have a short some place. I had a similar problem it messed with my power seats and the drivers window. They replaced the bcm twice and it didn't fix the problem. It turned out to be a pinched wire under the drivers seat was shorting out. My old dealer in NY replaced the track and routed the wires wrong thus causing all the problems. Chek the car out first the bcm is probably in the range of 600-1000 dollars. I this helps you out.
