today i was showing my new (used) car off to a buddy of mine who loves Z's. he is a mechanic he looked at the coolant and wasn't sure about Nissan's but he said to check on here because my coolant was green. he said that if it is the wrong type of coolant it sucks all the minerals out of the engine block. he used to do coolant changes and told me sometimes the fluid looks like mercury if you used the wrong type. he said Nissan may still sue green but he wasn't sure. he also told me a similar thing happens in the radiator if you use pure water. anyone have any idea what he is talking about/ if my car has the proper coolant in it?
I hate when my minerals get sucked out of the motor. Makes me furious!
I use Centrum Complete chased with a glass of orange juice...replenishes all the lost minerals. Gatorade is supposed to work well too, but my engine doesn't like the taste
OP - your owners manual gives you all these answers and more. If you don't have one, its recommended you get one (new from dealer, used on here or ebay, etc)

Yes, Nissan OEM coolant is green. You can also find this info in your owner's manual.
