Angry HELP... STOCK 350z has no power, vibrates, and the SES light is blinking

so this car has run PERFECT for the 2.5 weeks ive owned it. I get in it today to drive to school and it starts out fine backing up the driveway and then as soon as i put it in 2nd or so it starts to get a slight vibration and it feels like i have 30 hp.. i look down and the SES light starts blinking.. it never fully comes on but it was deff blinking. then i pull over and the light goes away and the car runs good to like 3rd gear and then the weird vibration and no power comes back again...

WTF is that? anyone know???

good thing this pos is under warrenty..

The code from the SES light should still be there - get it scanned at your local auto parts so you are not guessing.
Now stand by for about 20 posts of what it might be - don't waste your time reading them, without seeing the car it is all guesswork.
Also, your post is kind of short on details - years, mileage, things like that. That info helps sometimes.

Edit - just noticed the under warranty part - take it back to the dealer - why ask here when the dealer will fix it?

Change or check the oil in the 2.5 weeks you've owned the car?

Check or change your air filter?

Are there filters in the box(s)? LOL

Have you even check the tire pressure since you bought the car?

What about brake fluid?

Power steering fluid?

Maybe it's the flux capacitor?

Maybe you should sell the POS and get a civic.

dude im not some dumbass... yes i poped the hood, yes i looked around...

im new to the 350z thing but ive been working on 240s for a longgggggg time. i got the Z as a DD because its just practical..

car has 71k miles on it but has an extended warrenty through prizm admistrative solutions inc.

the only thing done to the car is a HKS super mega suction kit. It ran perfect yesterday and now all of a sudden runs like complete ***. i will prob drive it to advanced and see if i can diagnose it there to save from the 200 deductable i may have to pay

Well, it sounds like your intake came uncoupled, or there is a set of cylinders not firing dues to (insert umteen reasons)

OR

and this is out on a limb here, you can removed the HKS suction kit (wtf?) and see if that was your culprit. 5 to 1 says it is

its not the HKS kit because the car has been running good with it for like 2 weeks..

but anyways i just went out to look at it again and it runs perfect again.. so that is kinda weird... hopefully it continues to do so.

also has anyone ever had a problem with the gas guage being at a 1/4 tank and then just falling to E for no reason?

also i did not mean that 350s are POS... just mine because it pissed me off.. i love 350s thats why i got one haha

It sounds like it's having a problem processing how much air is coming in to the vechicle? I'm new to 350's as well but I'm sure there is a "mass airflow sensor". Is the plug for it loose? Check that.

So in the same day as you posted your "problem" it has now gone away and instead of doing a simple thing like getting the code read, you are instead going to to "cross your fingers"? Please go find another forum. Please?!

First step would be to pull the codes.

I've heard bad things about the HKS filters, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the culprit, but ultimately how is anybody on the forum going to know for sure without actually seeing it. It sounds like your problem is gone (for now) but it wouldn't hurt to pull the codes. You could also try an ECU reset.
