A/C problem... need input asap
i recently ran over a tow hook that fell off of a f150 and it damaged my underbody, oil pan, condensor, coolant line etc. i had it repaired by a body shop and they gave me a new oil pan, condensor, coolant line etc. everything was working fine and dandy. now with the recently hot weather in so. cal i needed to use my A/C but i noticed that while i was driving my A/C was not blowing cold air like it used to. it was blowing warm (not hot) air at the lowest setting. so i decided to take it back to the body shop that fixed the mechanical problems and they took out the freon and put some more in. they test drove it and found out it still has the same problem. and plus when im at idle at a stop light the idle goes anywhere from 500rpm to 1000rpm. the A/C actually works better when the car is in idle but it starts blowing warm air when you start driving it. now the guy at the body shop told me to go to nissan and have them do a diagnostic and see what the problem is, if the problem is related to the body shop then the body shop will cover the expense. but the guy also told me that it could be a pump problem. if it is a pump problem then i am pretty much on my own. any ideas on what this could be guys? any input would be good. i honestly dont think the pump or whatever should go out when i have only 54k miles on the car.
yeah thats wut the guy said too, he thought at first it was too much freon. but they took out the freon and added less but its still blowing warm air... any other idea?
i did that when i installed a new radiator and the engine was overheating... but i dont know if they burped it or not but the engine is not overheating so i dont think there would be any air in the system. i remember burping the system solved my overheating issue... ill take it into consideration but any other ideas?
