Default Legal $19.99 copy of Factory Service Manual (and TSB's)

FYI - I posted this on a thread in the engine/drivetrain/FI forum, but this may be useful to others as well. You can view and download the FSM (Factory Service Manual) from http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/nissa...id=&dept_id=18 using the $19.99 one day subscription option.

Once you register and pay you highlight "Inside Publications" on the top bar and choose "Find Publications". When prompted insert the model, choose service manual as the document type and the appropriate model year.

It will bring up the search results in a pop-up window. Click the icon next to the document title that looks like an eyeball and it will pop-up the FSM table of contents. You should save that one, then click on each item in the TOC on the document page (GI, EM, LU, etc.). Save each one to your hard drive as you go and you'll have a complete set when you're done. You can also download all of the TSB's with the same subscription.

Note that you need to have the Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your machine for this to work as these are in pdf format.

Enjoy your legal copy of the FSM...

Not sure about the roadster, but the '04 FSM is up there.

If anyone downloads this manual can you please take a look to see if the roadster is covered. (top mechanism, etc.)

If so, I need to upgrade my shop manual!

Thanks

So, it's a legal $19.99 ONE DAY Subscription, that was saved to a hard drive for PERMANENT viewing?

Can you really Download it and SAVE it? Is there any type of mechanism that either prevents you from saving it, or possibly some sort of auto delete after you 24hrs is up?

There is nothing preventing you from saving it but I don't think this is legal...

Sorry to bring an old post back to life, but has anyone done this lately? Are the online manuals still PDFs? I have the 2004 and 2003 manuals but want the 2005 manual and don't mind spending $20, that seems fair, but don't want to waste $20 if I can no longer save the files.

Thank you very much for the link but that is the 2003 Service manual. I have that one and need the 2005 manual. Thanks again for the effort though

Ooops, didn't realize that. I haven't checked it yet myself.

If you find one, send me a PM and let me know

Well I can answer my own question, you can still download the 2005 manual and save it since it's still PDF's. I want to do some electrical work (adding interior lighting) so I spent the $20, I figured that was fair.

Plus it's just nice to have the service manuals before you do any mods.

Damn, I'm STILL trying to download the freaking Service Manual! Man I can't imagine trying to use their online service for real.

<edit>

I JUST got it all downloaded, at least I hope I did...
