Default Need a battery, any suggestions?

I need a new battery as the one I have now is no longer holding a charge. I'm going to go down to kragen today and pick one up. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions on what type I get. Obviously one that fits my car, but is there anything else I should considering. All my cars before my Z's have been old craps cars that I would just put the cheapest battery i could find in. But my Z is different (obviously).

I just got a new battery the other day. I believe it's a Duralast Gold.

Consumer Reports has top rated the Everstart Maxx. Also highly rated are the Duralast Gold and the Interstate Mega-Tron. I've been using the Duralast and Interstate batteries for years and can't complain one bit about either.

i have the optima yellow top battery. it's nice. it's the most reliable battery i have ever owned. it's a deep cycle so i have put some serious strains on it and it still cranks up every time.

Just ordered an Optima Red top directly from Optima and paid 151 shipped. Saved $40 over AutoZone.

My vote goes optima, the yellow top if you can spend the extra beans.

Damn, good price. I just got a red top from Summit and it was $170..

Didn't know Optima sold directly...

Back OT, I run Optima's in all my vehicles and am very pleased with the longevity and performance.

It's kind of hard to find on their site. When you click on "Buy an Optima", there are icons at the bottom and there is one for Optima Batteries Direct, which takes you to this link. In case anyone's interested. They've got free shipping for the month of May. http://www.shopatron.com/index/1737.0

My stock battery was 4 years old...that is a FREAKIN long time for a battery to last!

i got a new one at Nissan for 70 bucks.....and my old one still turned over the motor but cranked slooooooowly.

if this new one lasts 4 years...it's about 17.50 a year in cost
