Default Clutch pedal will not return

Any help will be appreciated very much.
I have already searched, most threads pertain to 05+ models

The clutch pedal will not return from the floor board. I replaced the slave cylinder because that (from what I have read) is the common cause. I have bled the system four times and still nothing. It looks like the "withdrawal lever"
(what the slave cylinder actuates) is out of place, it just doesn't seem right but I'm not sure. Or the master cylinder is gone.

The car is an 03 touring with 89,000 miles. I believe it has an aftermarket clutch.

Any ideas or advice?

Thanks,
Brian

I am not sure if this could be it. I had this problem with mine 05 enth. I accidental hit something underneath were the clutch was and the clutch never returned I freaked out, i went under there looking around at the clutch and I cannot remember what I did but whatever I did the clutch finally returned and it was fine. Check for a button or a release type of thing under there. I could be WAY off on this, I am not very inclined in the auto world. I did have this problem and I, possibly accidental fixed it just like I accidental made the problem.

The button I am referring to is the button the clutch touches when it is not engaged and in the normal clutch positions. Look in that area!
I would have pictures But I am not home and will not be for a while.
hopefully someone else can get those for you.
Sorry If I was no help.

There's also a clutch master cylinder (where clutch fluid is added) which likes to leak as well. If not, check for leaks along the lines because there is a leak somewhere. Find the leak, fix it, and bleed your system like you have done. Good luck!

I got the new master in, there is now some pedal feel; but it's not all there. I can feel the pedal pumping the fluid now, the pedal returns, but because of the pressure from the fluid, and the pedal does not want to go all of the way down with out excessive effort. And you can't feel the clutch, at all. The slave cylinder fills with fluid when the you pump the clutch pedal, it over fills though.
