Default Vibration in shifter?

Hi all, I have a vibration in my stick shift, is this normal or should I bring it back to the dealer? It's at all RPMs. I like having my hand on the stick while driving but find the vibration annoying. Just wanted to know if it's just my Z or all. Thanks

The vibration is normal, and BTW....

There was a thread a while back, stating that...if you constantly keep your hand on the shifter, you gradually put a small amount wear on your synchros or soomething like that. I keep my arm on the center rest and only keep my hand on the shifter if I am running through the gears real fast.

There is always vibration, but when the vibration starts to make noise, thats not normal. I belive there is a small bearing inside that shifter, might want to get it looked at.

Guys... no worries. "Resting" your hand on the shifter won't hurt anything. Applying PRESSURE towards a gate while resting, sure THAT could perhaps prematurely wear out syncros. Even then, we have some pretty advanced lockouts KEEPING you from moving into gear. I wouldn't worry about it.
