Default puddle on passenger side floor

ok so last night there was a huge thunderstorm and it was raining for about an hour like cats and dogs. it was pouring!! I happened to be driving on the highway at this time going to a friends house. i came into the car this morning and smelt a weird kind of mildew smell. at first i thought maybe it was the water from me and my girlfriends shoes but when i lifted the passenger side mat the floor was soaking. anyone else have this issue? the driver side is completely dry

......did she have an accident and not tell you???? j/k

No idea. Any water spots that would make you believe you had a leak? Window motor going out? Mine needs to be rolled back up about every other time someone gets in the passenger side.

the funny thing is nothing else is wet other than the little square area under the mat. not even the sides or by the seat just where you put your feet

I once was in a good rainstorm or two and had water come in around the firewall area. It rains here a whole lot more than anywhere else in US. its the wet side of the big island Hawaii. anyways, water came in and I thought WTF, this car is new. Only happened about 2-3 times and never again since. not sure what was going on. Dont think i had the ac on either so?????? came in driver side. few good size drops 1/4 cup worth

Check your grommet on the firewall(the one that the engine harness runs through) it could be loose. Good luck

The AC drain hose to the outside (for condensation) is on the passengers side, GF's big feet may have knocked it loose. Dry the water & floor mat and let it air out before putting it all back together. Good luck

remove the carpet. and then remove the the floor carpet and it should be right there, underneath all the foam mats and what not. quite simple. i doubt your gf kicked it loose. unless she is 7 foot tall and sit with her feet digging up the carpet. since is is nicely tucked closed to the console and firewall. it is prob clogged. just yank the hose out and blow some air in it and youre good to go.

Itd have to either be a door seal leaking (not likely though) or like the other peeps have posted, your a/c drain hose is leaking or the problem I had which someone mentioned earlier and thats the firewall grommet for the harness. Nissan the genius's that they are decided to run the grommet parrel rather then vertical and the grommet sits underneath the fusebox/battery. Its been so long that I fixed mine I cant remem how exactly to get to it. I if you take out the covers over the battery on that side you might be able to get to it. If not then its under the battery. But thats where my leak was coming from and when it rains water just puddles up underneath there.

I havent even gotten to drive my Z yet cause I bought it wrecked and am repairing it, but i had to completely strip it down, and there is a rear windshield washer line (hose) that is strung from the front of the car to the rear along the pass. side of the car only. Was it water for sure, or could it have been light blue windshield washer fluid?

But, since you mention it rained really hard the night before, I bet that its neither the A/C or the washer fluid. its gotta be a window or door seal problem.
