It started about a month ago, but has since gotten worst. Whenever I go over a bump on the road, I get this hollow knock from the front end. Actually it seems to be coming from somewhere in the engine bay. I also feel feel it in my steering wheel when it happens. Took it to my mechanic and had him check it out. He said everything seems tight. He checked all my front end suspension parts, and even checked my mounts.

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Make sure your top strut tower bolts
are tight, and that your front struts aren't dead.

 

what do you have for suspension mods.

 

My struts and strut tower mounts are fine. It only happens when I go over certain bumps. There's times when it doesnt happen at all. What I do notice is, it tends to happen more frequently when im cruising at freeway speeds or higher.

Car is completely stock.
