Default Engine dies after ECU reset

So basically, two weeks ago I did my first oil change on my 03 Z, purchased about 3 months ago, used Mobil 1. The next day I spent installing an aftermarket audio head unit, so I had the battery unplugged. This I assume reset the ECU in the process.

Since that weekend, many times I have come out and started my car and it will turn over then the RPM drop too low and it stalls. I then usually restart the car and give a little throttle to keep this from happening a second time. It's only hot starts, since with cold starts the idle is higher during initial starting.

This is kind of annoying and embarrassing, i was hoping it was just a learning curve for the ECU and it would stop, but its been two weeks. Any ideas on how to remedy this?

Try cleaning your throttle body

Sounds like an idle-learn was not reset properly after the reset.

You will need to take it to a shop to have the relearn placed.

Take it to Precision Z in Canoga Park and have them take a look at it.

just do an idle relearn and that should fix it. or just ignore it for a few days and it will perform the relearn itself. no point of paying 90 dollars to a nissan dealership.

Thanks for feedback. I tried the Idle relearn procedure, but that didn't seem to help. So i did a reset of the ECU, this time with the pedal procedure. So far so good, hope it takes!
