Default Keep performing Idle Reset Procedure - works fine until I restart my car.

Hello,

I tried doing some searches but no solutions.

Last weekend my car was not holding Idle. It would start, then sputter and die. Happened a couple times, after a few revs it would hold and I'd drive. Kept happening intermittedly for a day or two and I was getting fed up. Did a few searches on here and ended up cleaning my MAF and Throttle Body. Disconnected the battery, went through all the precautions, and cleaned everything well. Throttle body was extreemly dirty, I'll try and post a pic later.

Anywhoz, did the ecu reset, the pedal learn, the TB learn, then the idle learn, my car was idling around 1200-1500. Did the idle learn again and brought it down to 650-700. (to the line on the Tach). So Idle learn procedure worked, but then when I started my car the next morning to go to work, it was idling around 1,000rpm (after warmup). I get to work 50min later and still high. Did the idle learn before i went into work and turned off the car a minute or two later. (Idle learn brought it back down to 650-700).

Start the car, go to lunch, no luck. Checked for any vacuum leaks, didnt see any. Tried spraying some Throttle Body cleaner around the TB to check for leaks, cleaned the leads, sprayed around the manifold a bit.

It's getting pretty frustrating. I have osirus so I'm going to go to HB speed to see if they can do the idle learn via software.

Any ideas?

I was thinking it's a possibility. But it does learn after I do the idle learn. It just won't save it. Maybe I'll open it again and see if anything is loose or stuck.

Update: opened everything up, made sure nothing was stuck or out of whack.

I also got an SES light, did an obdII scan and pulled up a PO code for high idle.

I'm not sure if the idle can be reset via uprev software, but I'm going to call the dealer and find out how much it will cost via Consult 2. It should solve the problem.

Nice, I just called and they said $80.

Anyone know if idle learn can be done via UpRev software?

I went to west covina nissan today and they spent 2 hours and couldnt relearn my idle. Maybe my new throttle body is bad or they are just dumb.

Take it to Precision Z in Canoga Park, dealerships are useless for complicated issues.

It sounds like a throttle-body issue that I was having which finally went away after it was replaced.
