I use 5W-30 with a fram Oil filter! I do alot of city driving and these 2 products are made just for that stop and go driving!!! I used this on my civic for 2 year and changed my oil every 7-10,000 miles and never had a problem. I loved my honda!!! my Z i won't go over 5,000 miles without an oilchange! Don't trust Nissan as much as honda!

I switched at 13k and paid 65$ total at a Mobil Oil change place.
I love Syn oil it added atleast 4mpg and the car is so much smoother now.

I think it's well worth the money.

I paid $4.10 a quart for Mobil 1. I also paid no tax, so $20 out the door. I bought 10 quarts, since they were on sell.

i got a case (6) for 25-35 at walmart, our cars take 5, do it yourself, buy 4 jacks, 1.5 ton jack, and oil and filter and you will still spend less then 65 bux on your firsat oil change and they get cheaper after that and with a 6 pack of oil your 6 oil change is free (1+1+1+1+1 = free).

4 jack stands because the geniouses at nissan put our oil pan drain on the side so car has to be level!

I've been runnig Mobil 1 since my first oil change @ 3750mi. I thought that the vehicle came with it stock and that it was reccomended (like 91 octane gasoline), but the dealer told me that the vehicle comes with regular oil standard and that you have to request synthetic. Didn't notice too much change, but I will stick with it. Noticed a huge change in smoothness with my '85 ... turned out to be a bad thing because I think it loosened up the seals because of the age of the car. Synthetic oil is a lot more slippery and can loosen up the seals on older cars. I haved heard that once you go synthetic you should never go back.

I heard there was a special oil plug with a washer or something. Are people buying these from Nissan that are doing the changes themselves?

It turns out that one of my sisters has one. But thanks for the offer!

Yielar- as for the oil plug, you use the same but the washer I change everytime i do an oil change. I order several of them when I order oil filters.
