Question Tire Pressure Alarm

Well it was a balmy 31 degrees here this morning and as such my tire pressure was lower than it would be on a normal morning, so in comes the psi warning, The friggin' thing beeped at me the whole way to work!...Is there anyway to adjust the setpoint? Other than that I guess you could call it a successful test?!?

Nope. Gotta inflate the tires to be over 34 psi. If you do a serach, you should be able to find the answer--this topic was brought up recently.

AH, yes it resets when 3/4 Tp's get to 33...basically its a 2/4 trip on the way down, and a 3/4 reset on the permissive.....they should have a >=40 deg. peremissive for all tires being within 1 degree of each other and no alarm

I realized my tire pressure start getting low for the past two weeks, and today the alarm warning sound finally went off, so I took it in to Nissan and talk to one of the service advisor, he said if you have one or more tire pressure it below 29psi it will give you the warning, and due to the weather changing lately, the temp are ups and downs, so is you tire pressure. The best way to determine if you have a lower pressure is to take a auto gauge and measure the tire pressure when you car are cool off, what I mean by that is measure it when you didnt drive you car for about few hours or the best time will be the first thing in the morning, right before you start up your car, use the gauge and check to see what is your pressure at that time, the service advisor told me that it should be at 35psi when the car is cool down, so lets said if you measure it and you have 28psi on one tire or more like my, then you need to add 7psi to that tire, and make sure you balance the tires, I mean by put exactly the same pressure on every tire, set every tires at 35psi and after your put the correct pressure in every tire, reset your tire pressure gauge and drive your car for about 10min. and it should be fine. My warning did went off right after I put the correct pressure in, but sometimes it doesnt go off right away, so you need to drive your car for about 10min. and that should reset the whole monitor.

Default Thanks

Yeah its no big deal now, I'll just have to deal with it foe a few months, Its actually a nice feature...now I just have to get my damn windshield replaced....warranty will not cover it even though its a manufactuer's defect...oh well, 89 glass will likely do a better job with better glass anyway for less.
